There was never a time (not even once) that I was not met with a smile from Marilyn. The Joy of the Lord was evident in everything she did. She was such a servant too and ministered to my heart and the heart of so many college girls a few years ago by opening her home, feeding us, and letting us be in a space where we could learn more about Jesus. I am so thankful for the legacy of faith she has left in her family and in the lives of those who have encountered the gospel through her.

Many great memories I had with Marilyn her older sister being my best friend and spending much time at her childhood home I also felt like an older sister to Marilyn. The love and compassion she always shared with others. In grade school and high school I was there enough to feel like family in their home. Marilyn always lit up the room and I know angels are singing to have her in the presence of Jesus much love to the Roden and Hyland family. Rhonda Vaccarello

Marilyn was an incredibly kind, sweet person. Both of my older daughters were lucky enough to have her for their Kindergarten teacher. To this day I still hear the songs for the days of the week, or the colors running in my head. We all treasure the special times and the warm hugs we shared with her. When Gabbie had a life threatening illness during her Kindergarten year, Marilyn was there for her, and even had the other kids in the class make cards for her while she was in the hospital. I never saw anyone so joyous and loving day in and day out as Marilyn. We are so grateful to have known her, and will miss her all our days going forward. She was extraordinary.

Death brings pain that time can only heal, No words could ease what we truly feel; But with God, her joy is eternally sealed, And cherish her memories that death can't even steal. Sending love and prayers to Marilyn's family.

I remember our camping trip to Canada when I was 11 years old. Marilyn taught me several funny songs and showed me how to make a paper chain out of gum wrappers. She was a lot of fun to be around, and I looked up to her. I'm sad for her loved ones, but happy for her, since she is now with her Savior in heaven.
