My prayers and thoughts are with Joanne's sons and families. Being her sister was a great honor for me. We had many good times and bad times but we were there for each other. She always showed kindness to everyone. What will we do without being there to cut the cakes for our special occasions. I know in my heart that she is looking down from haven and keeping us safe. She is my angel. Love, Georgia

Auntie Joanie, I will miss you very very much. You were a very big part of my life, my daughter Shannon's life, and a part of my whole family's life ! My mom and dad(John and Chris Nielsen). I still remember all the days that you and Uncle Wally would both come and pick up Shannon every day to take her to school and pick her up from school when she was a little girl, and she has never forgotten that. Also, all the birthdays spent at our house, all the holidays spent at our house between Thanksgiving and Christmas it will never be the same. I am so glad I had you in our life all these years I tried to do as much as I could to help you . You will be missed, please say hi to my mom and my dad as the three of you will now sit around the table and drink your coffee and laugh about the old times. Love you , your niece Lory

Dear Aunt Joanie, We all will miss seeing you and Uncle Wally for the holidays as it has been pretty much a tradition for most of our lives. You have been part of my life for my whole life I have never known a time without you. I always remember the good old days when Aunt Joanie and Uncle Wally would come over and spend time with my mom and dad, John and Chris Nielsen. They spent alot of time together. So Aunt Joanie make sure you say hi to my mom and dad while you're there and have good conversation with a great cup of coffee. May God bless you, Uncle Wally and all your children. Your Nephew, Ron Nielsen

Our deepest sympathies to Joannes family. She was a wonderful person whom will be deeply missed. I always saw her smiling, and always happy to answer my genealogy questions. Always had something nice to say.
