Obituary

Belvidere, IL

Heinz Boruschewitz, 71, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Friday evening, January 27, 2017 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness.  Heinz was born June 9, 1945 in Bavaria, Germany the son of Leo and Elza Boruschewitz.  Heinz married Olga Zavala on April 22, 1987 in Kirkland, IL He was a tool and die maker by trade working for several manufacturers over the years.  Heinz enjoyed traveling and was a talented accordion player.

Heinz is loved and will be missed by his wife, Olga; daughter, Carrie (Roberto) Wade of California; granddaughters, Fabiola and Mary Wade; brother, Leo (Cathy) Boruschewitz; sister, Rosa Boruschewitz.  Heinz is predeceased by his parents and brother, Klaus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut, Belvidere, Il with Rev. Allan Buss, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Kirkland, IL Memorials can be given in care of the family.

When Rosa and I were little kids, Heinz used to give us a big bear hug and called Rosa his "Little Dumpling." Over the years, that memory has always made me smile!

Heinz youwere my. First friend when I moved to Kirkland in1960our many fishing trips camping at the river as kids shooting our 22off the bridge at cans drag racing our trip down south with Leo the day you asked me to sign your paper for citizenship don't know who was more proud you may be gone but the memories will last for ever.
