Gary L. Gibson, 69, of Garden Prairie, Il passed away unexpectedly, Sunday evening, September 7, 2014 in the emergency room of SwedishAmerican Hospital, Belvidere, after a sudden illness.  Gary was born December 13, 1944 in Mendota, IL the son of Walter A. and Charline (Buchanan) Gibson, Jr.  He married Delores A. Tripp on June 12, 1965 in Rockford.  Over the years Gary worked in the area of carpentry; first with G.E. in Rockford and later as a union carpenter.  He did some farming for Wendell Rosene and dabbled in car sales for Belvidere Auto Sales.  Gary was also the owner of Eagle Construction through the early 1980’s.  Gary started the business he loved the most, D&G Towing in 2006. Gary enjoyed listening to his scanner and working with his wife Delores at D&G Towing.  Gary was a great friend to many.

Gary is loved and will be missed by his wife, Delores; children, Richard of Garden Prairie and Andrea (Raymon) of Rockford; grandchildren, Cody of Garden Prairie, Sandra (Javier) of Glendale, AZ; great-grandchildren, Summer and Alex; aunt, Helen (Frank) Kish of Indianapolis, IN and his dog Rico.  Gary is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald.

Memorial services will take 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 16, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL.
