Eldon was a respected friend, bringing his expertise and wisdom to help with the efforts of NAMI Northern Illinois. A special contribution: He was able (in his gentlemanly way) to help us see that opposing viewpoints may exist & need to be .recognized and considered.

Circumstances prevented us from attending the service. We met Eldon many years ago and I was touched by his willingness to reach out and try to help us in any way he could. He was open with his history and willing to commit his time and efforts to everyone. He was most special....Ben Healy

Eldon, you were one of my favorite people in the mental health system. Whenever we worked together, you approached the task at hand with wisdom and good humor. Whenever I called you for the benefit of your opinion, I was better off for having done so. I was so happy to see you this summer, and I’m sorry it won’t occur in this life again. To your loved ones: I hope that your grief evolves steadily into cherished memories. Patricia Reedy
