I met Beth in an internet chatroom over a decade ago. It may not have been the most conventional of friendships, but she was there for me whenever I needed her. She supported me through moves, lost loves and other trials. She celebrated with me during my wedding, when I got my first book published, when my son was born, and during all the tiny day to day miracles that happen in life.I was blessed to have her attend my wedding in 2008. She and her friend Katrina flew across the country and we all met in person for the first time. During our reception, my husband and I hosted a surprise Oscars style award ceremony for friends and family who were especially important to us. There was laughter and applause when we awarded Beth a trophy for "The Best Friend I Never Met". It is one of my favorite memories of that day.We met a second time when the four of us (Beth, Katrina, myself and my husband) all flew to Atlanta, Georgia to attend DragonCon a few years ago. It is a weekend we still talk about frequently; full of all of the silly characters, overwhelming crowds and sensational showmanship that we all love.I am grateful that I knew her. I will miss her advice when I am having difficult times with my son. I will miss her praise when I write something new. I will miss her sense of humor and her creativity most of all.

We went to college with Beth and will always remember her sweet disposition and attitude towards people. In the brief talks we've had since then we know she still carried that with her. She will certainly be missed in our hearts and minds. And will continue to pray for the family.

Extending heartfelt condolences for your loss. Losing someone we dearly love can leave us feeling lost and heartbroken, but we can find comfort and refuge in God's Word. Psalm 34:18 states that Jehovah is near to those broken at heart, and those crushed in spirit He saves. Revelation 21:3,4 assures us that soon death will be no more, and Acts 24:15 holds out the hope of the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in death. May this bring you some comfort at this very difficult time.
