Deepest sympathy to the family of Alice Emanuel. I am a member of the United Methodist Church in Shell Lake and dearly loved Alice. I worked with her on our church rummage sales for several years and she was always so great to work with. Always had a smile on her face, never complained about the hard work or anything else, and worked like crazy. My special memory of her was just a few weeks ago when I stopped by the church for the second day in a row. The first day I had noticed her weeding the flower garden in front of the church. The second day she was doing the same and I stopped to visit for a second and to compliment her on how great things were looking and thank her for her hard work. She just smiled, nodded and went back to work. What a special person she was - nothing showy but always a friendly, helpful giver to others. Know that she will be missed here in Shell Lake.

Joanne and Jan, so sorry for the loss of Alice. I have so many memories of her and your family, especially Joanne growing up. I got to see Alice several years ago in she'll lake when visiting there with another friend. She and you will always be remembered by me. Peace be with you both. Sandy Nelson
