Vern, my good friend, so soon, so sad. We didn’t go to school together or work together, I was just lucky to have met and got to know you. Twenty something years ago we spent a lot of time hanging out together, you shared with me your hope and desire to meet someone and to have a lasting, loving, happy relationship relationship with a great lady some day. So glad your dreams came true. You will be missed by all. Steve Swanlund

Vern was such a caring person. He would always ask me what he could do to help other veterans and donated many items to help fellow veterans. He will be missed deeply.

My dear cousin Vern,
I am so saddened to hear you’ve left us way to soon. You and I have always had a bond and that is something I will always be grateful for. A lot of wonderful memories of our talks and the poker runs you let me go on with. You never judged me and that grumpy face of yours always made me laugh. Do me one last favor, say hello to all our family in Heaven! You will be sorely missed!! Love you cuz! Until we meet again ❤️❤️❤️
