Obituary
Robert Harold “Hal” Larson Jr., 64, of Belvidere, IL passed away from complications of Covid-19 after a month-long battle on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. Hal was born September 6, 1956 in Belvidere, IL the son of Robert and Yvonne (LeVoy) Larson Sr. Hal married the love of his life Beverly Myers on November 5, 1983 in Belvidere, IL. Hal was a graduate of Belvidere High School and worked alongside his father as an electrician with Larson Electric. Hal was a member of Jaycees, Coon Creek Casters and the Belvidere Moose Lodge. He served as a Boy Scout Leader, sat on the Conservation District Board and spent many years coaching BYB. Hal enjoyed watching his two sons play baseball, spending time traveling with his friends and family, and learning and talking about history to all who would listen. He was a steady heart who never left anyone without making them feel special. He will be missed by all.
Hal is loved and missed by his wife, Beverly; children, Rob (Rachel) Larson, Matthew (Dana) Larson; parents, Robert Sr. and Yvonne; mother-in-law, Shirley Myers; sister-in-law, Betty (Scott) Myers; brother-in-law, Robert (Shirley) Myers Jr.; sister-in-law, Geri Myers; nieces and nephews, Zander Myers, Laiken Myers, Alex Rednour, Raymond Rednour, Brooke Myers; beloved grand-dogs, Bailey, Bentley, Madison as well as numerous extended Larson family and friends. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Myers Sr.; close friends, Bob Sanford and Bill Pigott.
The walk-through visitation will be held 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2020 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Due to state guidelines, social distancing and facemasks are required.
