Obituary
Robert H. Larson, Sr., 90 of Belvidere, Il passed away peacefully, Monday morning, March 15, 2021 in his home. Bob was born June 9, 1930 in Rockford, Il the son of Laurie W. and Florence (Carlson) Larson, Sr. He loved his wife Yvonne (LeVoy) more than anything in the world. They were married on February 18, 1956 and just celebrated their 65th anniversary. Bob owned Larson Electric, where he eventually worked alongside, and passed down to his son Hal. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1951 through 1953 during the Korean War. Bob was a lifetime member of the American Legion Boone Post 77, where he was a former Commander of the post; and was also a lifetime member of the John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 VFW. Bob was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #295. Bob enjoyed playing cards, spending time at their lake house in Delevan, WI and watching the dog races. He was a proud and loving Grandfather.
Bob is loved and will be missed by his wife, Yvonne; daughter in-law Bev Larson; grandchildren, Rob (Rachel) and Matthew (Dana), and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Harold “Hal” Larson, Jr.; brothers, Laurie W. and Phyllis Larson, Jr.; Bill and Mary Larson; and mother in-law Agnes LeVoy.
