Raul Treviño, 80, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Thursday evening, February 4, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born January 25, 1936 in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, son of Jesus Bejarano and Eusebia (Cavazos) Treviño. He married Adela Casarez in 1969 in Delavan, WI. Raul was employed by Chrysler in Belvidere for more than 30 years, where he was a member of the UAW. He enjoyed reading, gardening and riding his bicycle. Most of all, Raul was very family oriented and loved spending time with his family.
Raul is loved and missed by his loving wife, Adela; children, Eusevia Treviño, Raul (Asteria) Treviño, Jr., Maria Guadalupe Treviño, Corina Treviño-Richards; grandchildren, Adela Marisa Treviño, Mariela Treviño, Abigail Gleason-Treviño, Monica Treviño, Alberto Braulio Treviño, Angelina Marie Richards, and Sarah Marie Richards; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Alberto Treviño in 1993, parents, brothers, Enrique Treviño, Jesus Treviño, Pedro Treviño, Jose Treviño; and sister, Guadalupe Treviño.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m., Monday, February 8, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
