I am sorry for your loss. May the Vickers family find comfort in knowing that God will soon end all pain and suffering. He also promises that we will see our loved ones again by means of a resurrection (Revelation 21:4, Acts 24:15). But until then, I hope the memories of Ted and these promises bring peace and comfort in the days ahead. My condolences to the family during this difficult time.

As Ted's substitute pastor for a year at Christ the Rock, I admired Ted's forthrightness, his sharp mind and his supportive comments. Saw him at the fire station in Belvidere last year, and he showed me proudly around the place. God hold you close, knowing that Ted's firm faith in Jesus has brought him home.

Rev. David Meggers posted on 2/5/17

Ted was a remarkable man with a remarkably big heart. He was ever ready to give of himself and his skills for the church and for people in need. It was an honor to have been his pastor and Edward's (he always used "Edward") at Christ the Rock. Ted was a very dedicated fire-fighter and was responsible for my service to the department for 9/11 observances. God grant us that peace that is beyond our understanding.
