Obituary

Susie L. Gilbert, 79, of Belvidere, IL, passed away, Wednesday evening, August 31, 2016 at North woods Care Center in Belvidere. Born March 10, 1937 in Greeneville, TN, daughter of Maynard and Mildred (Morrison) Harrison. Susie worked at Greenlee Tools in Genoa as a machinist for many years. She had a knack for collecting Barbie Dolls and Owls.

Susie is loved and missed by her daughter, Kathy (Corey Dyer) Hensley of Rockford; grandson, Torey (Karee) Hensley of Genoa, IL; great-grandchildren, Terje Hensley, and Trinity Hensley; sister and best friend, Sandra Riddle of Belvidere, Vernia Wise of Ohio, Minnie Nanney of Tennessee, and Willis Harrison of Tennessee; special nephew, Dean Riddle; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, and 7 brothers, and sisters.

Per Susie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
