Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Friend

Shirley E. Waser, 78, of Rockford, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 in Swedish American Hospital. Born January 29, 1935 in Beloit, Wisconsin; daughter of Lewis and Vada (Michael) Meyers. Married Carl Waser on June 29, 1952 in Beloit. Member of the Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Belvidere. Shirley dedicated her life to taking care of her family; she loved gardening, painting, crafts, butterflies, and blue birds.Survivors include her loving husband Carl, daughters Gwendolyn (Larry) Schumacher of Belvidere, Darline (Ken) Baraconi of Pecatonica; sons Harley (Angie) Waser of Hemet, CA, Ken (Sue) Waser of Cherry Valley; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Velda (Jim) Tyler, Marlene (Dick) Churchill, Trudy (Jim) Daniels; brother Edward (Germane) Meyers; aunt Ellen (Dave) Reed; and an abundance of extended family. Predeceased by her parents and brother Bob Schult.

Memorial service 1PM Saturday, June 22, 2013 in The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 5995 Marengo Road, Belvidere with Gary West officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

I hosted the Senior Breakfast at Logli east state and always loved seeing Carl and Shirley come in for breakfast. Shirley would bring pictures of her flowers for me to enjoy. Blessings to your family
