Bud made Immanuel Lutheran Church his spiritual home, where he was a former head usher. Bud enjoyed bowling and served as secretary/treasurer for the Belvidere Men’s Bowling league and was a regular bowler well into his 80’s. He was instrumental in founding the Belvidere Youth Bowling Association when his children were young and he was inducted into the Northern Illinois Bowling Hall of Fame in 1996. He also enjoyed baseball, and with his wife Jeanne was an avid Cubs fan. Bud coached in the Belvidere Youth Baseball league as well as founded an amateur baseball league in his younger years.

My father and Bud put many an hour in together for the bowlers in Belvidere, and made sure the leagues went on year after year. My dad, Ward Davis spoke highly of Bud.

Bud was a neighbor and friend. He walked over to see Mom on good weather days and frequently shared meals with us. The new people in the house say it is a very friendly house with good vibes. He was a good man.

Gary and Peggy, Tresa and I are so sorry to hear of your loss. Your dad was a great man, and I am blessed to have known him. Bud had a kind heart, welcoming presence and always thought of others before himself. As we grew up, I respected him as a father-figure and later on as a friend. Our love and prayers. Ken and Tresa

Gary and Peggy, I am so sorry about the loss of your dad. I remember all the good times we shared with your family as kids. Your parents were both such wonderful people and I often think of them. Your dad will be missed just as your mom is missed by all who knew them.
