Dear Janie, David, and Chad, Mom and I were so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was such a kind and loving man. I have such fond memories of watching David for a half an hour or so, before I went to school in the Prairie, while you were getting off the night shift at the hospital, and Bob was leaving for work in Rockford. And then, how that turned into a summer babysitting job for both David and Chad, and how much I loved the boys, you, and Bob. I remember kite fights with Bob and him rescuing me by taking a stinger out of my foot when I walked in the clover barefoot. Your family always made me feel so special. Janie, I cannot imagine what you are going through right now to lose a spouse and a friend. David and Chad, I do know what it's like to lose a dad. It is truly one of the hardest things you'll ever go through. Just remember all the wonderful times, and what a truly extraordinary man that Bob was. Much love and condolences, Tawny Reitsch and Pat Schwebke

Our thoughts and prayers to Jane and family. I can not believe what an impact this man has made in my life. To have worked side by side with him for the 6 1/2 years was truly a treasure - not a day went by that he didn't joke or jest around.....will truly be missed!! Prayers & love to all - Glenda and Mike Mueller

Bob wasn't just a customer of ours years ago, he was a truly good friend. Our hearts go out to Bob's family. I remember him warmly for his quick smile, sharp wit and, most importantly, his honesty and integrity. We will miss Bob.

Bob and I started out as business friends but fast became personal friends that cared for each other. We both were in the auto repair business and shared our cares and worries. My heart has been breaking for a long time for Bob as he fought MS. He did so with dignity and class and fought until the end. My deepest sympathy goes out to you Jane and your family as you say "See You Later " to Bob as you will see him again in Heaven. I'm sure. Bob and I talked about that! Great Man with a big Heart and big Smile! God Bless each of you! Love to all, Gary Omark

WHAT CAN I SAY. I AM CRYING AS I WRITE THIS! How very blessed that I had Bob and Jane in my life. So very happy for him that he is pain free and released from his illness. SOO very sad for all of us who knew and loved him. We were all blessed to have known Bob and had him in our lives. What a gift!

So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. Remembering him for his humor and love for his family and friends. If he didn't make fun of you, you better wonder if he liked you or not. The picture I have of him and "Turbo" is priceless, you could tell he really didn't want to be holding a baby....lol Will miss him! Thinking of the entire Ballok family!! Love to you all!!

Dear Chad & Family - Words cannot express the sorrow we all feel for you today. It seems like yesterday when your Dad first came to Hawthorn School and became part of our community. He was such a great kid - always had those rosy red cheeks, just like somebody we know!!!! Will never forget all the memories I had of him growing up. Keep your memories close until you meet again. The world lost a really wonderful man today. With deepest sympathy and love - Jim, Kathy & Daisy
