I never had the chance to meet Mr. Fitchie. I became friends with his wife Judith when he was already in the nursing home, however I felt like we knew each other from phone conversations. he always seemed easy going and relaxed, and he was very comical. wish I had the pleasure of meeting him in person, he sounded like a terrific man .My Condolences goes out to the Fitchie family.

Robert was a very special person in my life for 29 years. He was a loving father to my husband his son Tom and a loving grandfather to our 3 children Brandon, Colton and Savannah. I couldn't have asked for a better father in -law then him. He is going to be greatly missed by us . He was 1 heck of a person to know and love.

Bob was a good son, husband, father, and grandfather. I know he will be missed by his entire family and his many friends. I could not have been blessed with a friendlier brother-in-law......

I didn't know him, but I heard so much about him from his granddaughter, Peyton. He was her hero, she looked up to him and admired him so much. From the way she speaks so highly of him, he sounded like a great man and I wish I had the chance to meet him. I pray his memory as a hero will live on for generations. Thank you so much for your service, Mr. Fitchie. You truly were a hero.
