Nancy was a wonderful lady and a source of light to many including the detainees in the Boone County Jail. She gave so many years to the jail ministry program and she touch so many peoples lives during that time. We will all miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with Nancy's entire family.

Oh how our sweet friend will be missed here in this Kingdom on earth! Such a dear saint and so influential with the power of the Gospel and the working of the Holy Spirit in so many lives. Ladosca (that is what she asked me to call her) was a huge encouragement in our family to be doing the things that we are doing. From the ministry itself to the very fabric of our home. Even yesterday my oldest daughter came up from doing laundry in tears because the pants and the belt were both "finds" from Ladosca at Goodwill or the Salvation Army. I have many shirts from her but the greatest gift was the encouragement to be strong and be faithful in the ministry. To say she will be missed is an understatement. In her latest adventure in Church Planting Ladosca embodied Titus 2:3 "The aged women likewise, that they be in behavior as becomes holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of honesty" May the next generation carry on the blessings and teaching her life represented.

Our prayers are with the family and friends of Ladosca. We only met her a decade ago when many her age would have been spending time rocking and knitting. Instead, she was GIVING and GOING, gathering food and clothes for the needy and focused on others, not herself. More energy than women a quarter her age and a vision of ministry far beyond modern myopia of the selfie-generation. I will miss her bossy-ness (a GOOD trait) in doing and being "Jesus-in-action" to so many whom she loved and loved her (including my Rockford grandkids)

To the entire family of Ladosca: Boyce and I have so many memories of both your parents. I met them at Columbia Avenue Baptist Church when I first came to Illinois in 1967.. Boyce and I were blessed to have your mom make the dresses for my wedding attendants, and your Dad married us in 1968. In the last few years, your mom was so gracious to allow my younger sister, Mary and me stay with her on different occasions when we came back to visit my sister, Isabelle Elliott. I also remember our days at Washington Elementary. Please accept our thanks for all they did for us and know that we truly loved and respected them highly. May God be with all of you as you go through the coming days, weeks and months. Please be assured that they are looking down on each of you and saying, "We will be watching and waiting for each of you....Just look for us at the feet of Jesus....We will be watching and waiting as each of you make your entrance into that Beautiul City". Give our love to all! Boyce and Rosie
