I remember Mary and Lee coming to our house the day after Thanksgiving one year for a "dessert" party. Mary was always w/Lee, part of a beautiful devoted pair. Lee and Lisa: keeping you both in my prayers and thoughts.

My deepest sympathy to Lee and Lisa and family, Mary was my first piano teacher and mother of my childhood friend Lisa. I have so many wonderful memories spent with the Biermans. Mary had such a wonderful imagination, I can remember her setting up an obstacle course for a game of croquette, she would often whistle a familiar tune and purposely "miss" a note to keep Lisa and I on our toes. She was a wonderful teacher, she sparked my love for music and nurtured it by taking me to plays and concerts in Chicago. I have thought of her often over the years and she will always hold a special place in my heart. Again my deepest sympathies, my prayers go out to her entire family. Heaven has truly gained another Angel. All my love, Beth Petersen

Lee, Lisa, Todd and boys - MY love, thoughts and prayers have and continue to be with you. So many memories of Mary coming pouring in however, the most prominent and lasting one is the countless hours of great conversation around the Bierman family dinner table! Mary had a unique way of provoking great topics that made you think or think differently! I loved that about her. Such a great woman and so proud to have had her in my life. A second mom to me, like so many others. She, in her own special way, helped to shape my life.

Lisa and Lee- Now when you need it most we hold your hearts close to ours. I know Mary is watching, as she always did, over both of you (probably telling you to be careful). The twinkle in her eyes and the sudden burst of laughter--intact. Her love and devotion surround and protect your lives. My friend, I love you. We are both so very sorry. Melissa and Lisa
