Louis B. “Ben” Giesecke, 86, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Swedish American Hospital. Louis was born February 1, 1931, in Rockford IL, the son of Louis M. and Agnes Giesecke. Louis served in the U.S. Army and spent 22 years with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office as a deputy. He was the proud owner of Ben’s Radio and TV Repair in Belvidere. He was a lifetime member of the Boone County Historical Museum, member of the American Legion, enjoyed birdwatching, feeding the squirrels and genealogy.

Louis is loved and will be missed by his sons, Robert and Michael; siblings, Marion Giesecke, Shirley (Al) Andrews and Jerry Dorn. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ruth Giesecke.
