Karen was a very special woman. She touched me greatly with the time I was able to spend with her. She was very loved and that was easy to see. I feel blessed that I was able to be there to support her and care for her. A blessed chance to care for your Mom that I didn't get with mine. Thats how special of a woman she was and will always remain, in our hearts. She will truly be missed.

Dear Gary and family, My deepest sympathy to you and the entire family. Karen and I went to school together since Kindergarten. We attended Girl Scouts, ballroom dancing, high school classes, school dances and many more activities. We had many good times and wonderful memories. Karen was my dearest friend friend and will be forever!

So many telephone conversations over the years. Never did solve the world's problems, but maybe gained some perspective on our own with God's help! Will miss you, but am so thankful for your belief that Jesus was and is your Lord and Savior and that He had prepared a place just for you! See you again one day!

Dear Gary and Family - Karen's passing was not a surprise, and it would be normal if you felt some relief that she is no longer suffering. It is still intensely painful to lose her. Everything is different, and it will take a long time to reach a sense of normalcy in your lives. Helen Keller said, "All that we love deeply becomes a part of us." Allow yourself time to cry, grieve, and remember - and heal through the sustaining moments of laughter and joy. I will remember Karen always - her beauty, intelligence, our deep conversations, and mostly the laughter that I can still hear. Lovingly, Linda Layton, Edward Jones
