Im sorry you had to go so soon. Although I only knew you for a couple years. Ive always thought of you as a comforting person and a hard worker. And you could definitely throw down in the kitchen! Ill never forget how you helped at my baby shower, and the time we partied in the fall with your sister, don and jimmy. At the bar you told me jimmy was outside talking to a girl and I ran outside like a bull after a red flag. When we came back inside you said welcome to the family! It was a good time♡

To Karen's Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. I worked with Karen many times at the airport besides teaching classes together. She was a hard worker, honest and fair, knowledgeable, and I'm proud to have called her 'Friend'

Dear Karen: Your presence and influence will be sorely missed by everyone at O'Hare TSA. Your skill at training and strong, positive work ethic helped to shape how many officers approach their work on a daily basis. You were a terrific person -- taken from us way too soon. I will miss your hugs and warm smile. Thanks for everything. May you rest in peace.

Karen, I didn't know you long. I'm so glad are paths did meet. You went out of your way to help me get through all of the test needed to get recertified. We had lunch together and a nice conversation. You were very professional and knowledgeable. Whenever I saw you at work you always had a smile and hugging someone :-) thank you again! You will not be forgotten. Peace & Smiles :-)

Karen, We had recently discussed getting together over coffee to discuss an issue that we shared together in our personal lives. In fact, I thought about you the first two weekends in November, telling myself that I was going to make that call to get together. Sadly, it never happened, ... Of course I am very sorry now that I never made that call. You were the light of the TSA training department; always positive despite what you were going thru internally. I will always remember the fun we had in our initial training class, and how you had patience with all the crazy personalities in that class! You were a strong woman and a great mentor to many. May your light continue to shine as bright in life ever after as it did here on earth. RIP Karen, you will be greatly missed by all.

Though I had only met Karen on a handful of occasions, her kindness has left a lasting impression. She was so supportive during the last days of my father (her stepfather) Loren’s life, and truly grasped the pain and sadness of his children being a half country away, and just stepped up and made his last days as comfortable as possible. I am forever grateful she was there. On top of that, the several times we met - again I will remember the kindness. I feel bad I didn’t know she was sick and if there is some blessing, I am glad she did not suffer. To Dorothy and the boys, and the siblings, I wish all of you the best and apologize for not being able to be there for you. I certainly can imagine your pain and extend my heartfelt condolences to you all.
