Obituary

Jason J. Turnipseed, 38, of Belvidere, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 in his home following a sudden illness. Born December 18, 1975 in Belvidere; the son of John and LaWanna (Felton) Turnipseed. He graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 1994 and Rock Valley College Truck Driving School. Jason married Sarah Moore in Belvidere, on July 20, 1996. He was employed as a truck driver for Harris Silver Trucking Co. He was a member of the Christian Faith. Jason had many interests which included, Demolition Derbies, yard work, various outdoor activities and the change of seasons. He was devoted to his family and known for his strong work ethic. Friends and neighbors could always count on his willingness to help. He enjoyed being with his kids and watching his son Ethan play hockey for the Icemen. He was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Blackhawks. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three children, Ethan, Emily and Elaina Turnipseed, his parents, John and LaWanna Turnipseed, sister, Angie (Charlie) Adams; grandparents, Paul and Delores Felton; special aunt and uncle, Sheila and Gordon Myers and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel 218 W. Hurlbut Av. with the Rev. Amy Poust, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 17, 2014 at the funeral home.
