I first became acquainted with Bee through her son-in-law, Dale, at my first meeting of family members who had loved ones living at Bickford Cottage Assisted Living. I was a "newby" and Dale said that his mother-in-law had been there several years. I said, "Wow, a son-in-law here for his wife's mother. This old gal must be something special". He replied. "She is!" I came to find that out for myself as I interacted with Bee over the next year, often worshiping with her at the Sunday afternoon services at Bickford. I also had many long conversations with Pat about our caregiving situations, gaining much strength and insight from her thoughtful sharing of how her faith has gotten her through her trials. May Bee rest in peace and may her family feel God's grace in this time of celebrating Bee's life and laying her to rest.

It is with sadness that I read about the death of Bernita. I was a good friend and fellow rider of Dick's and after his death, became a visitor and appreciated her friendship. Now I know what happened to her when she left Rockford. My condolences go out to her whole family.

Her daughter, Patricia and I grew up together through Cherry Valley Grade School and Guilford High. I always felt that Pat's Mother must be special because her daughter was always friendly and nice to me. I want to send her my condolences because I know exactly how she feels right now. I lost my Mother 11 years ago and I think and miss her every day. Sometime tears roll down my face over a simple memory. Please know that she is now with the Lord and a better place.
