My life has been enriched knowing Val. She was a caring and loving person to everyone she met. I enjoyed the time I spent with her as she explained Bible passages to me. She had a lot of patience with me and never seemed to mind. She always lent a helping hand and support. She will be missed. She’s at peace and once again with her husband Ron. They were a great couple! My condolences to the family and her vast network of friends.

Val loved her Lord and was an inspiration to all. She loved her husband and her family. I remember her service to the larger church on various rural ministry task forces and synod committes and the joy she found at Capron Lutheran Church. She loved driving her van. She loved her church family. We enjoyed our conversations and idea sharing sessions. She has finished the race and now knows what lies ahead for each of us and is with her Lord forever. Thank you God for blessing us through your servant Val. Prayers for your family.

Tinberg Family, I’m not sure if you remember me but my mom was at OSF St. Anthony the same time your mother suffered her aneurysm. I was lucky enough to run into Val at random places throughout the years, she was quite the inspiration! Always remember the blessed years you were given and let her determination guide you.

Your mom was an inspiration. She managed to do so much despite of everything. She adored you kids and the grandkids. I am honored to have called her, “friend”. Hugs to you all.

I am so sorry that I never had a chance to meet Valerie… her life was too short, as was cousin Ron’s. May God’s hope of a heavenly resting place give comfort to you all.
