I’m very sorry to hear about Sig passing away. We were good friends throughout our school years and as young adults. Sig was the kindest person I knew, who always had a smile on his face and a great laugh.
I know he will be greatly missed. My condolences to the entire Rognstad family.

I worked with Tracey and I’m so sorry to hear about her husband’s passing. She spoke very fondly of her husband when I worked with her and when I heard the news, my heart broke for her. My condolences go out to their family and for all the pain this brings.

Sig, was such a diligent man! Being able to work with individuals with disabilities for over 30 years said so much about his character. He was such a great asset to Little City . He left long lasting memories with the clients he served Mr. Rognstad you will be truly missed. 😚

Very sorry to hear the news of Sigs passing. Tracy, Kyle and Hannah we wish and pray for God’s strength in you these days, and the ones ahead. All of you Roggies, we are so sorry that you had to lose Sig so soon. What a great big brother to have had in life. What a great example of strength and courage for all to know. He had a way of looking into your eyes and just making sure things were ok….then he’d play a joke on you (much like your Dad). What a fun and loving guy. Rest in peace Sig. I’m sure the fishin is good in heaven! Prayers and Blessings to all from Minnesota.

I had the honor of working with Rogy for many years at LC. We have lost touch over the years but the great memories of him are so clear. The softball team was most memorable along with many crazy days at work! I remember when you both met at our New Years Eve party! And the rest is history… I will always remember that smiling face and that silly laugh that makes one smile. Be at peace with the angels, my friend. Love , Pat and Yama

Rogy will be missed so very much! He was such a nice person and I truly enjoyed the times we got to spend in bible study/fellowship together with him. I recall the lighthearted moments of our “I will race in my wheelchair” comments at church. Mike and I both will keep your family in our prayers. Rogy was a blessing to many people, both Mike and I included.
Sig, you and your smile and presence will be missed!!! You were a man of God and a fond memory was you giving time and presence to 5/6 grade vbs kids.

I am very sorry to read of the loss of, Mr. Rognstad. With his accomplishments, and dedications, both in his professional life and personal one, he was an amazing man! I won’t pretend to know what you’re going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love, is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is John 5:28, 29 which says, ” Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out .” I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved husband, father and friend. Sincerely, Meryl, jw.org – firstname.lastname@example.org
News of Sig’s passing brings great sadness and a flood of fond memories. To Tracy, Hannah and Kyle I am sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to Phyllis, Lorraine, Glen, Jill, Gail and Vicki. Growing up with Sig, it was another world, another time. He was a bit of a wild child with an untamable shock of blond hair. We wandered the farmland and prairies, rode our bikes as far as Elgin. Palatine and Roselle–quite unthinkable now. We slept under the stars in the backyard, climbed tall trees, and created imaginary worlds in sandboxes. When the addition was built for Sig’s aunt Pauline in the house on Flagstaff, we held clear plastic rulers in front of her big black and white TV to create rainbow effects–it was our first color TV. That’s how long ago it was. Cribbage at the Rognstad’s was always good fun. The north woods together an adventure. More memories than I can share here, all swathed in the golden glow of childhood, many affectionate recollections. Through adolescence and young agulthood we kept in touch even as our separate paths took us in different directions. I feel quite fortunate to have been able to reconnect with Sig and Tracy this last June over dinner. I hadn’t seen Sig in some years, but was immediately brought back into to a heart connection that went back sixty years. People change, obviously, but I recognized that same essence, that easy-going manner (he was only the wild child very early on) and his gentle sense of humor. I was so impressed with his bravery in the face of devastating illness, as well as the beautiful love and support of his wife Tracy. To have a marriage that tender and harmonious is one on life’s truest blessings. I can’t tell you how much it meant to me to be able to break bread with him after many years and get a glimpse of his life, days full of trials met with grace and acceptance, days complete with love and eased by the solace of fishing, camping, bluegrass, and the comfort of a supportive spiritual community. Sig’s legacy is not one of material wealth but of an enduring love we are all blessed to have known and carry forward.
