Obituary
Robbie “Rob” E. Ellsworth, 55, of Pecatonica, IL and formerly of Belvidere, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, July 10, 2022, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Rob was born June 27, 1967, in Belvidere, the son of Robert E. and Cherryl I. (Davis) Ellsworth. He attended Belvidere Schools and was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Rob was currently working with his brother Rick, in the field of construction. When he wasn’t working you could find Rob riding his Harley that he loved so much. He enjoyed snowmobiling, watching drag car races, and following his Chicago sport teams, the Bears, Bulls, and the Cubs. More than anything Rob loved his wife and his family. He cherished the time he spent relaxing and being near his family. Rob was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.
Rob is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his beloved wife, P.J. whom he married on June 18, 2022, at their home in Pecatonica. The two spent a wonderful honeymoon traveling to Colorado and exploring all that Colorado has to offer. Rob was also loved and will be deeply missed by his son, Jacob; his mother, Cherryl Ellsworth; stepchildren, Jayden, Kailee, Riley, and Danielle; brother, Rick (Shelley); nieces, nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins; his life-long friend Pete Hughrt; and his friend Lloyd Phillips.
Rob has joined his father, Robert; brother, Ryan; Grandparents, Carl and Lora Davis, and Lloyd and Grace Ellsworth; aunts and uncles, Chancy Davis, Wayne (Sandy) Davis, Kenny (Sharon) Davis. Larry Davis, Ronald (Ruthann) Waters, Gary Ellsworth; cousins, Roger Davis, and Kenneth Davis all who preceded him in death.
A visitation for Rob will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Faith Baptist Church, 1637 7th Avenue, Belvidere, IL. The following day, Friday, July 22, 2022, there will be a second short visitation at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeremy Weary and Rev. Tom Davis officiating. Pallbearers are Pete Hughrt, Lloyd Phillips, Rick Ellsworth, Jordan Ellsworth, Jacob Ellsworth, and Tony Davis. Immediately following the funeral service Rob’s burial will be in Highland Garden of Memories.
