Obituary
Patricia A. Gibson, 85, passed away January 14th, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville, WI. She was born January 12, 1937, in Belvidere, IL. She is the daughter of the late Carl and Marion (Dykeman) Bottcher. She attended Belvidere High School and graduated in 1955. On March 3, 1956, she married Burnett H. Gibson. She worked many jobs over the course of her life and eventually went back to school to become a CNA. Patricia was a Brownie Troop Leader, and an Avon and Tupperware Representative. Patricia was a Christian woman who attended various churches and eventually became a bible study teacher. Being so involved as a bible study teacher gave her so much joy in her life. She will always be remembered for her kindness and making sure those around her felt loved and appreciated.
Patricia is survived by her 3 children: Gary (Laura) Gibson, Ruth (Hector Michel) Rodriguez and Peggy Gibson; her 9 grandchildren, Jose (Danielle) Chavez, Matthew (Tanna) Rodriguez, Andy (Kathy Ayala) Chavez, Jimmy (Danielle) Rodriguez, Patricia (Luis) Resendiz, Kayla (Mica) Ritter, Dylan Gibson, Brandon (Angie) Chavez, Kendell Gibson, 17 great grandchildren; and 4 great great-grandchildren; sister, Janet Burnell; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burnette H. Gibson; parents, Carl and Marion Bottcher; infant brother, William; 2 sisters, Susan and Jeanne; and 2 brother in-laws.
A visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m., Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Valerie Kath will officiate. Burial at Highland Garden of Memories. A special Thank You to Matthew and Tanna Rodriguez for opening up their home and hearts to help care for Patricia the past 5 years of her life.
