May C. Malisch, 101 of Belvidere passed away peacefully Monday May 1, 2018 at Northwoods Care Centre. She was born September 20, 1916 in Packwaukee, WI to William and Lillian (Kanzenbach) Barton. May married Glen Malisch on November 28, 1934 in Oxford, WI. She attended and graduated from Oxford High School. She retired from Arnold Engineering after 16 years. May was an avid bowler, liked to crochet, read, fish, and go for walks. She was a 55-year member at the Bonus Grange and member of Boone Lake for 20 years. May also enjoyed the company of her many family members. She made her spiritual home at First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere.

Survivors include her daughter, LaVila (Clyde) McConnell; sisters, Illa Kanzenbach and Lilias (Bob) Drobnick; son-in-law, Gary Bennett; daughter-in- law, Marcia Malisch; sister-in-law Dorothy Barton; 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by Parents, husband; son, Robert and daughter Gloria Bennett; 2 granddaughters, Patricia S Malisch and Stacy W Malisch; grandson Kevin Bennett; also 7 brother and 6 sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday May 7, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church 221 N Main St, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Dr. Robert Kopp officiating. A visitation will take place 9:30 a.m. till 10:45 prior to service. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
