LeAnne King

LeAnne King, 75, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, at her home in Belvidere, surrounded by her family. She was born January 17, 1947, in Janesville, WI, daughter to Kenneth and Mena (Tronnes) Morgan.

She grew up in Janesville and had many happy memories of the days spent at Lyon’s Beach. She moved to Belvidere in 1968 and worked at Chrysler. LeAnne always had a talent for sewing. In high school she worked for Vera’s House of Bridals altering wedding dresses. Her love for sewing continued as she made clothes for her daughters when they were growing up, and did alterations for anyone who needed them.

She married her sweetheart, Terry King, July 18, 1998, in Belvidere. She retired from Chrysler in 2001, when she and Terry opened her sewing business, Kings Kreations. LeAnne continued to make alterations including Wedding & Prom dresses, along with keeping the students and staff of Belvidere Central Middle School in spiritwear. She passed her sewing talents on to her daughters and granddaughter.

LeAnne and Terry are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere and she is a member of the Moose Club. Together they enjoyed traveling, ATV trips, and spending time on their boat. She enjoyed helping with the many home improvement projects that her children and husband had going on. She spent many years in a bowling league. For LeAnne, any time spent with family was a special time.

LeAnne is loved and will be dearly missed by her husband, Terry; children, Cheryl Hagen, Jody (Norm) Archer, Butch (Lisa) Hagen, Marty Hagen, Nikki Rowlett; grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, Andy, Courtney (Ryan), Morgan, Zach, Haylee, Brian, Jake, Emily, Asia, and Toren; and 11.5 great- grandchildren. Sister, Cindy (Mark) Yeske, Brother, Wayne Morgan: Honorary son, Jeff (Karla) Fuller: and many dear friends.

Leanne was faithful and hard worker at Zion. One of my favorite memories was playing golf with her. She used a driver, an iron and putter. She did just fine and what a hoot.

Terry and family. I am so very sorry to hear of LeAnne passing away. A wonderful and caring neighbor will be missed. Always had to to chat when I walked my dogs and was my go-to gal for hemming of my slacks. Guess I’ll just have to have them hanging over my shoes now. Rest in peace, dear LeAnne. Carol and Kenny

‘So very sorry for your loss and our loss. Leanne has been a part of my life since 1979. We got through some difficult times together and SO MANY wonderful times, especially trips to Aruba, Las Vegas and many years of bowling together and just talk, talk, talking together. She was such a good genuine person and both Tom and will miss her dearly. Rest in heavenly piece, our friend. You will always be part of our memories.
