Obituary
Karen Schoff, 79, of Cedarville, IL passed away on February 2, 2021 in Rockford, IL. She was born on January 19, 1942 in Richland Center, WI to Lyle and Maxine (Alderman) Mayfield. Married the late James Schoff, June 23, 1962. Married Fred Steurer May 3, 1986, later divorced. Karen had the most important job of all, she was a mother and a homemaker. She loved rural living and enjoyed going to county fairs, auctions, and garage sales. Musically inclined, she played both the piano and guitar.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Dean (Becky) Schoff and Renee Knox; grandchildren, Megan (Josh) Gibbs, Nathan Schoff, Jacob Schoff (Jessa Carlsen), Zachary Knox, Olivia Knox (Cruz Garza); step-grandchildren, Nichole (Jeff) Warren, Mark Knox II (Kelly Forster), Heidi (Eric) Gregory, and Vanessa (Dwight) Hoffenden; great-grandchild, Bryson Gibbs; 14 step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Wilke; brother, Loren Mayfield, and son in- law, Mark Knox.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Due to the pandemic, no services are planned at this time.
