Mark, Deb, Lisa, and Family:

I am so sorry and I want you to know I am thinking of you and what you and your families are going through. Please accept my condolences. I know how difficult this must be for you as I too have walked this path before. It is and will be times of bittersweet moments. No words will take the pain away and that is OK. As this is a time of mourning your mom and the grandma of your children.

Today and the days following will be a time of mourning, cherishing, and laughter as you reflect back on your time with her. A mom and grandma is a very special person in our lives and can never be replaced. She is that person that will comfort us when we need it and of course administer discipline when that is needed too. She is also that person who prepared those evening snacks and kept the house in order. She was a mom of many great attributes. The greatest of these being how she loved and was proud of you her legacy, you.

Your mother like many mothers had a great influence in your life and can never be replaced. But knowing how moms are, I’m sure that your mom just like many other moms wouldn’t want us sitting around grieving, but rather celebrating the wonderful life she had and the precious moments she had with each of you. Celebrating that she has been reunited with your dad and now has a new body. She is no longer lay there, but up rejoicing and saying, “Don’t grieve my children for I am home now”.

So in this time of sorrow over the next days and weeks, remember your thoughts and memories of your mom will always be there. It is OK for all of you to hurt and to be sad as your family has suffered a great lost. But know this too, she will be with you, and your family in your memories. As well as her greatest legacy will be in the wonderful children she raised. Again, I’m sure she was so very proud of all of you.

In closing I like to give you these verses to reflect on:

Matthew 5:4 (NLT) God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

Isaiah 41:10 (NLT) Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.

1 Peter 5:7 (NLT) Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Yes God cares for you and is caring for your mom.

Yours in Sympathy,

Kevin

I only knew my dear friend for a short time, but we sure made the most of it. She was a dear sweet Christian friend and she always had such encouraging words to live by. Family meant everything to Judy especially those Grandkids she loved with all her heart. Judy and I had so much fun together talking , laughing, eating out, going to garage sales, shopping and to the fair. I am going to miss you my dear friend but I will see you again someday. God bless Love Linda
