Post a Condolence

Christina,
Jay looked after everyone he encountered, something of which I know you are already well aware. Knowing he was keeping an eye on my girls as they waited for the bus (walkie-talkie in hand) gave me a great deal of security. Seeing him greet my dog, Nova, on his neighborhood walks always made me smile. Talking with him on those walks always improved my mood. Jay was a GOOD man who will be sorely missed!

I only met Jay a few times for some electrical work, but liked visiting with him. I’m sorry for your loss.

Jay, don jones, and me started our police careers in Elk Grove on the same day in November 1966. He was my across the parking lot neighbor in the quads in Elk Grove, and the best man at my wedding to my wife Kathy. He was always fun to be with, and I still use some of the things He used to say (like “stupidopid” in describing some situations). He was a good man and was a friend. Condolences to the family.

We flew our Stearmans together many times, we chased the elusive $100.00 hamburger and at the end of the day had an occasional beer together. We will miss you Jay.

Jay was a great guy and fun to hang around with. I enjoyed his stories, perspective and comments on various topics. He certainly loved flying and in fact, I saw him in his plane recently. He will be missed!

Jan once said that he lived to fly. And flew he did! Just weeks ago, he gave a big wave and wide grin as he taxied out to surf the skies. We are sorry for your loss.
