I knew Irene through Valhall Lodge, Sons of Norway. What a gracious and lovely lady she was. . .always friendly and reaching out to others. My sympathy to all of you.

That dear sweet lady was a friend all the years we knew her. Back in 1997when I was a single mom with two children we moved to Belvidere. Our hope was to find a loving church home so we attended Zion the first week there. And the week following 2 fun and loving ladies, Irene and Dagney appeared at my door with cookies and welcoming laughter and love. From that day on they Watched over all of us and continually reached out to us. They were quite a pair and must be enjoying each others companionship now as we speak. She was an amazing woman and we send our condolences.

Over the years that I have known Irene I have enjoyed our talks. She was a very special lady. I am glad she didn’t have to suffer. I will always remember her love for birds and the Cubs. She will be missed.

So sorry for your loss…She was a great friend. Never heard a bad word spoken by her. She was a faithful member at Zion hardly ever missing a Sunday Service. We will miss her.
