Helen L. White, 75, of Kingston, IL, passed away peacefully Monday, September 11, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center. She was born September 5, 1942 in Oil City, PA, the daughter of Albert and Buella (Bell) Irwin. She married Roy E. Stimas on July 11, 1970 and he preceded her in death. Helen married Alvin White on January 1, 2001. She was employed as a beautician prior to becoming an LPN for many years at Northwoods Care Center, Belvidere, IL. Helen attended Herbert United Methodist Church. She loved cats and her dog, Freddie. Helen enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables. She also enjoyed driving the combine when she could.
Helen is loved and missed by her husband, Alvin; sons, Roy J. Stimas, and David Stimas; step-children, Debbie (Nolan) Johnson and Rick White; siblings, Charles Irwin, Robert Irwin, and Sarah Mischke; loving caregiver, Katie Recker and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her first husband, Roy E. Stimas, sisters, Freda Irwin and Myrtle Maxwell, and brothers, William Irwin and Gerald Irwin.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 15, 2017 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Jackie Wills officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
