Geraldine Stewart, 84, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully February 13, 2021 at her home. She was born to Clarence and Edna Warren Smith on May 9, 1936 in West Virginia. She married her sweetheart, the late Guliver Stewart in Madison, West Virginia, in 1954. Geraldine attended school and eventually worked for Marshal Fields as their cook. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She especially loved canning her vegetables and passing on her canning recipes to her family.

Geraldine is loved and will be dearly missed by her children, Kirk D. Stewart, Glenda (David) Lensing and Michael (Sondra) Stewart; brothers and sisters, Don Smith, Marlene Jones, Brenda Smith and Jr. Smith; grandchildren, Kim Mccown, Dave Lensing, Danielle Price, Angela Lensing, Melissa Stewart, Darrel Stewart, Michael James Stewart, Jonathon D. Stewart, Kayla May Pope, Jessica Horn, Raymond Smith, Richard Smith and Donna Jean Smith; great- grandchildren, Tyler Lensing, Preston Lensing, Kendra Mccown, Mya Price, Ellie Price, Leo Price, Walker D. G. Pope, Maverick M. Pope, Josie Pope, Camryn Stewart, Jaxson Stewart, Alex Stewart, Brianna Stewart, Jimmy Stewart, Aiden Stewart, Jayden Stewart, Zaden Horn, Bianca Smith, Kia Smith, and Asia Smith; and multiple nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by, her parents; husband; daughter, Donna Smith; son, Jacky Stewart; daughter, Debbie Horn; brothers, David, Doug, Bobby and Randall; and two grandchildren, Carl and Jerry Smith.
