Gerry was a close friend throughout our high school days, and I remember fondly those times with him. He was a gifted tinker; I don’t think he found any device electrical or mechanical that he could not take apart and put it back together. From the Tesla coil he built in his mother’s living room to the old engine in the back room of Biester’s gas station where he worked. I am sure he will be missed, and I offer my sympathy to all his friends and family.

Gerry was a truly kind and nice person, accepting of everyone. He’s the type of person the world could use more of right now.
