Obituary
Elsie L. LeClere, 87, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, early Tuesday morning, April 19, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her home. Elsie was born June 13, 1934, in Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Gilbert F. and Elsie M. (Moss) Moyer. She married Richard D. LeClere on March 12, 1955, in Iowa. Elsie was a homemaker and bookkeeper for LeClere Plumbing for numerous years. She enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, and collecting Dept. 56 Villages.
Elsie is loved and will be missed by her son, Jeff (Linda) LeClere; grandson, Justin (Brianna) LeClere; great-grandchildren, Ava, and Bryant LeClere; brother, Rayferd (Jane) Moyer; sisters in-law, Margaret (John Larson) Schultz, Irma Moyer, Donna Schwartz, Betty Wexter; brother in-law, John Wendell; second mother to Michael Butz; good friend to Elvira Powell. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Cheryl (Lyle) Permann; brothers, Franklin Moyer, Howard Moyer, Ronald Moyer; sisters, Dorothy Silvers, Florence Michaels, and numerous brother and sister in-laws.

Elsie’s memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30, 2022, in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008. Her burial at Shattuck Grove Cemetery will be private. Memorials in Elsie’s name may be given in care of Northern IL Hospice at northernillinoishospice.org.
