Donald Ray “Butch” Karr, 61, of Dixon, IL went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 15, 2021. He was born on February 25, 1960 to Donald I. and Shirley M. (Dague) Karr in Belvidere, IL. Butch graduated from Notre Dame Special Education School in 1981. Butch loved listening to all types of music especially country and polka. Most importantly, Butch loved spending time with family and his extended family at Kreider Services New Main. He made his spiritual home at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere. He will be missed by all.

Butch will be dearly missed by mother, Shirley; brother, Timothy (Anne) Karr of Belvidere, IL; aunt, Lois (Arden) Fernstaedt of Venice, FL; niece and nephew, Olivia Greer and Mason Greer; 1 great-nephew, Wyatt. Cousins, Diane (Kevin) Fuchs, Dan (Tammy) Kiefer, David (Courtney) Kiefer, Catie and Sam Kiefer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald I. Karr; brother, Christopher Paul Karr; grandparents, Raymond and Pearl Karr, Gladys Coleman; uncles, William Karr and Don Kiefer.

The family would like to thank all of staff of Kreider Services, especially New Main, for their loving and compassionate care.

The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1045 Belvidere Rd., Belvidere, IL 61008. The funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Keith Richard. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories. I’m so sorry for ur loss Don was such an amazing client I loved taken care of him every day I walked in he always had a smile on his face when he seen me, he was funny and out going and so sweet. I will always have amazing memory’s of him!!!

Shirley, So sorry to hear about Butches passing. I remember when you lived next the Engle’s on Marshall street. I remember him being happy even though he had disabilities. You have had a rough year. I pray that God’s promise of eternal life is your light through this dark time.
