Donald F. Hove, 75, of Belvidere, Il passed away unexpectedly Friday evening, June 17, 2022, at home. Don was born December 9, 1946, in Belvidere, Il the son of John and Mary (Grush) Hove. He graduated from Belvidere High School and attended vocational school. Don worked for the Belvidere Foundry before spending his career at Camcar where he served as a machinist and electrical expert. He served our country in Vietnam in the US Army. Don found great fulfillment in life working in his barn, even grilling in the barn; it was his haven. He was always ready to have a discussion on politics, that would, after a bit, perhaps transition in to a conversation on mowers. He was a lot of fun to be around and will be deeply missed by all.
Don is loved and will be missed by Cecelia Rice; nephews, Steve Hove of Galva, IL, Scott (Stephany) Hove of Tuscola, IL; great niece, Avery Hove; close friends, Robert Jones, and Michael and Monica Simon of Belvidere. Don is preceded in death by his parents; brother, John, and sister in-law Diane.
A celebration of Don’s life will be held at a later time.
