Delbert L. Poulda, 77, of Rockford, IL, died peacefully, Thursday, February 4, 2021, surrounded by family at his home after a short illness. Delbert was born May 9, 1943 in New Lisbon, Wisconsin. The son of Donald W. and Thelma (McVicker) Poulda. He was married to Bonnie Miller from August 18, 1962 until 1981. He later married Sharon M. Jones on December 6, 1986 until her passing in 2014.
Delbert enjoyed welding, which gave him the desire to become an Iron Worker for Union Local 498, he retired in 2005. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, dancing, tinkering in his garage and spending time with friends, helping out whenever he could. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Delbert was a long time member of Blaine United Methodist Church which brought him much joy and was the cornerstone to many wonderful friendships.
Delbert is survived and will be dearly missed by children, Cynthia (Michael) Seagraves, Lisa Poulda, Craig (Amy) Wegner, Nadine Loveridge, Del (Chris) Wade and Dela (Jenn) Wade; sisters, Ruth Locken and Marge Poulda; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon; brothers, Ed and Ern; two grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
A walk-through visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2021, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 West Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Due to state guidelines face masks and social distancing required. Funeral services will be private. Burial at Blaine Cemetery.
