Debora Novak

Obituary

Debora L. Novak, 62, of Belvidere, Illinois passed away on April 20, 2021 at Swedish American Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 5, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois daughter of Jacob and Marilyn (Mark) Bucz. She graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, class of 1976. Debora married Patrick Novak on September 29, 2002. She had a kind and loving manner and was a wonderful caretaker. Her naturally caring demeanor and love for children stemmed from her being the oldest of a large family. Debora grew to be a very nurturing woman with strong maternal instincts and a love for children. She loved teaching Sunday school where she was known as Ms. Debbie, and sharing her love and passion for God with all walks of life. Much of her time was spent with family but she also loved to read and knit.

Debora is lovingly missed and remembered by her parents Jacob and Marilyn Bucz; children Lisa (Carlos) Hernandez, Christopher (Nazaria) Bucz, Daniel (Bridget) Coomer, Keri Bass, and Michael Bass; siblings Mark Bucz, Donna Bucz, Michael (Susanne) Bucz, David Bucz, Daneen (Frank) Tagliavia, Dawn (Michael) Percudani, and Michelle Marks; grandchildren Anthony, Jacob, Joseph, Samuel, Maria, Olivia, Dylan, Nevaeh, Julian, Carmello, Lily, Cayden and Johnathin; and many other members of her large, loving family. She is preceded in death by her husband Patrick Novak.

A private family service will be held at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services with Pastor Ron officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to St. Jude’s in Debora’s honor is preferred. To share a memory or leave a condolence, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com.
