Obituary

Carolyn A. Swisher-Goodall, 80, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, December 31, 2020 at Northwood’s Care Center.  Carolyn was born February 8, 1940 in Odin, Illinois the daughter of Gilbert and Helen (Green) Romine.  She married Bruce Swisher who preceded her in death.  Carolyn was a graduate of Belvidere High School and retired from Champion Packaging where she worked for many years.  Carolyn was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan; but what brought greatest joy to her life was the love of her grandkids.  She loved each grandchild and great grandchild with a deep un penetrable love.

Carolyn is loved and will be missed by her children, Dawn (Vince) Trigilio of Aurora, OH, Bruce Swisher of Ann Arbor, MI, Robert (Trisha) Swisher of Belvidere, IL, Ron Swisher of Orangeville, IL and Lisa (Michael) Halladay of Tuscan, AZ; brothers, LeRoy (Cheryl) Romine and Gale (Connie) Romine both of Belvidere; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bruce.

The family acknowledges the loving care and tenderness offered and given by the staff of Northwood’s Care Center the past 12 years.

The walk-through visitation for Carolyn will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Social distancing and face mask are recommended according to state guidelines concerning Covid-19.  Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given in care of the family.  Cremation rites will be accorded.
